We want to reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer.
Support the campaign to eradicate breast cancer. #ProjectZero
Breast cancer is said to be one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in Australia. Over 19,000 Australians are diagnosed each year and approximately 8 women still die from breast cancer every day.
Mizuno Australia has collaborated with The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to launch #ProjectZero, a campaign with the goal of reducing the number of deaths from breast cancer to zero by 2030.
By donating a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the special edition Project Zero shoes to the NBCF, we are helping to promote breast cancer awareness and the importance of research.
Since the NBCF began funding research in 1994, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer in Australia has improved from 76% to 91% (as of 2016). World-class research can help halt breast cancer mortality. With a better understanding of how breast cancer develops and spreads, researchers can discover more treatments and prevent more deaths.
Through the #ProjectZero campaign, we will continue to support the fight to end breast cancer.
