Medical apparel made with chemically recycled material

Mizuno manufactures and sells shoes and apparel for workers in the construction, transportation, and manufacturing industries, utilizing technologies and expertise Mizuno has cultivated through sports equipment development. Mizuno also develops products for the medical industry, selling apparel for healthcare professionals utilizing environmentally friendly materials.

Within the apparel industry in general, there is apparel that is no longer used, as well as fiber waste that is discarded during manufacturing. Rather than disposing of these materials, Mizuno is working to recycle them through chemical recycling, which involves chemical treatment to recycle these materials into raw yarn.

Mizuno’s medical apparel (V-neck medical gown scrub, pants, jacket, doctor’s coat) uses these chemically recycled polyesters.

Mizuno has been engaged in environmental conservation activities since 1991, and aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Mizuno is actively working to reduce waste and promotes recycling, with the aim of leaving an abundant environment for future generations.
