Mizuno Hosts Senior International Badminton Tournament

Mizuno held the senior international badminton tournament Mizuno OMOTENASHI Cup Japan, which had been on hiatus since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, from April 11-14, 2025, at the Tsu City Industrial & Sports Center (Nissho Highway Arena ).

This tournament aims to provide new playing opportunities for senior badminton enthusiasts, contributing to the promotion of badminton as a lifelong sport while fostering health improvement, human exchanges, and revitalization of the host region.

This year’s event welcomed approximately 1,000 total participants from over 10 countries. In addition to enjoying competitive matches, participants engaged in international exchange through the tournament’s official get-together dinner and other activities.
The venue also showcased the attractions of Tsu City to participants through local specialty product stalls and food trucks.

Through providing not only “products” but also “experiences” such as tournaments and events, as well as “venues” including designated management facilities, Mizuno continues to contribute to creating environments where people can increase their opportunities to engage with sports and live healthy, active lives throughout their lifetime.
