Mizuno Takashimadaira Store "Re VALUE STUDIO"

A section called "Re VALUE STUDIO" is set up within the Mizuno Takashimadaira Store, which primarily carries baseball equipment.

The concept is “regeneration and the re-creation of value.”
This initiative proposes products with renewed value by utilizing materials that were previously deemed unsuitable, as well as items that had lost sales opportunities due to changes in appearance over time, such as those used for in-store displays.

For example, bats with knots or bark inclusions may be treated as unsuitable due to concerns such as a higher risk of breakage or less favorable appearance. However, the wood itself can still be of high quality for bat production, and depending on the position of the knot or inclusion, it can be reborn as a well-performing bat.*1
In addition, gloves that have faded in color or those in which grease used in the manufacturing process has seeped out may show some cosmetic imperfections, but all meet Mizuno’s quality standards.

*1 Bark inclusion: A condition in which part of the tree’s bark becomes embedded within the wood during its growth process and remains inside.

Selecting a product that suits you from among items, each with its own unique character, is also part of the appeal of this initiative. You can pick one up and experience its value firsthand.

“Re VALUE STUDIO” was created based on the idea of making effective use of products that remain fully functional, rather than discarding them.

Since the 1990s, Mizuno has been engaged in environmental conservation initiatives and has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality in its business activities by 2050.
Going forward, Mizuno will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the effective use of resources.
